Some of the most beautiful cajons are handmade in Germany by ERakkustik. The Typ 4 rocks an organic vibe with sweeping ergonomic curves. Apparently some have shallow, carved megaphonic ports (as shown) and others have standard round holes.
I have no comment regarding the sound because, unfortunately, I've never heard (or seen) one of these in person. If you have, please comment.
